Yolande was warded a Certificate of Achievement by the Lord Mayor of Leeds for her contribution to the prevention of arthritis and the promotion of mobility through the teaching of Tai Chi. She was subsequently selected from 75,000 volunteers working for Age UK to receive the UK Joint Top Award for Community Volunteer 2014! As well as teaching Tai Chi for Age UK, Yolande has also been fund-raising for the charity,
With typical humility, Yolande told us that she loves teaching Tai Chi and passing on what she has learned to others. "The joy, love and peace I see on the faces of the students when we finish every class is worth every effort and time I put into it."

Rosezillah Fox

Picture

TCUGB Grade A

Sadly, Rose passed away on Thursday 30th July 2009 at the age of 79 years.  An astonishing lady and a great friend, she will be deeply missed by all of us at Yiheyuan.

As well as teaching dance and Tai Chi for many years, Rose taught us, by her own quiet example,  how to live our lives with kindness and compassion, with courage and dignity.  She taught us to honour ourselves and to honour others and now we honour her with our tribute.
