Thanks to all our super-awesome students and other friends for making this such a brilliant event.
Great Tai Chi/Qigong/Bagua/push hands etc, great people, great weather and an epidemic of laughing and smiling.  Couldn't ask for better than that.

A relaxing afternoon of peace, tranquillity and gentle lakeside pursuits...not!

Cheng Man Ching - Rare Footage!

Seriously don't miss this if you do the Cheng Man Ching 37 posture "short form" of Tai Chi.  This was filmed when he was younger and more sprightly than in some of the previously-seen footage that is out there, and this is the best Tai Chi we have seen him do.   It also shows some delightful aspects of his character as he walks down to the area where he does his form, and there's some push hands and martial applications at the end for good measure!  The video is not on YouTube; it's on the website of the Shen Long Tai Chi Association UK, to whom we are very grateful:

This is Yu Xiaolin performing  a Tai Chi form developed by Yang Jianhou, the father of Yang Cheng Fu. It clearly shows the origins of Yang Style Tai Chi in Chen style.

We have set up this blog in response to requests from people who don't use Facebook or Twitter but want to be kept up to date with what's going on, such as any good video clips we come across.  Of course if you do use Facebook, we have a page there for Yiheyuan Martial Arts (you'll find the link in the top right hand corner of this website) and there's a lot of interesting stuff on there. g also now has a twitter account and we will share some of these posts as tweets.

We welcome your comments and suggestions on any of our posts and we'd love to hear wh at you think about our blog.

All the best, g and Col
